Habitat:
Different types of breeding systems for chickens: large-format cage system, aviary system, and free-range system. They have a terrestrial lifestyle and fly poorly, only short distances.

Interesting fact:
The domestication of chickens probably took place already in the 2nd millennium BC on the Indian Peninsula. Chickens were already bred in China in 1000 BC. In Poland, chickens were already bred in Biskupin in 500 BC. The chickens of that time had better developed wings, so they probably flew better.
